Financing for growth companies

Oulu attracts equity investors. The latest arrival is the Finnish private equity investor Tutor Invest, which specializes in financing SME growth and internationalization. Tutor Invest manages equity in MedTech LP, which focuses on financing wellness and health care service companies and tech companies. It made its first investment in Oulu in summer 2008 in the health care tech company Innokas Medical Ltd.

“Innokas Medical is a perfect example of Oulu´s solid expertise in wellness and technology. I am positive that we will invest in other companies in Oulu as well,´ says Pekka Sillanaukee, Tutor Invest´s CEO. In addition to financing, the company takes an active role in assisting its target companies in implementing their growth strategy.
